This Pasta is Incredible, HTPLA Carbon Filled in 4 shades of Grey
Proto-pasta Carbon Fiber Composite HTPLA is a combination of milled carbon fibers and high-performance PLA. Resulting 3D printed prototypes and end-use parts are characterized by exceptionally stability of form and potential use up to 155 deg C (310 deg F) when heat treated.
Adaptable to most PLA-compatible printers. Heated bed recommended for process ease, quality, and reliability, but not required. Printer should allow 3rd party filament, parameter adjustment, and nozzle replacement. Specialized machine adaptation and maintenance may be required for Proto-pasta materials particularly in continued use of abrasive materials.

This filament is more abrasive than standard PLA and will wear out a standard brass nozzle quickly. I highly recommend getting a hardened nozzle such as a Micro-Swiss A2.
- Available in 1.75mm & 2.85mm diameters. We don't typically stock 2.85mm but are happy to special order for you. Proto-Pasta is just down the road from us In Vancouver, WA.
- 500g is on a 8" diameter cardboard spool & 3kg is on a 12" diameter spool vacuum packed.
- 50g sample is loose coil in vacuum pack.
- Usable on most PLA-compatible printers, such as Prusa, Creality, Lulzbot, Makerbot, FlashForge, Dremel, Ultimaker, Printrbot, and more! Pretty much any printer with at least a .4 nozzle capable of printing .25mm layer height should have no problem with this stuff.
In filament form, CFHTPLA is more brittle than standard PLA, It's like dry Pasta (go figure).
Processing is comparable to standard PLA. No heated bed required. Process may be less consistent on smaller nozzles and/or bowden type machines,
We frequently print using direct-drive systems with 0.4mm nozzles and print as high as 240C, though suggest 0.6mm and 210-230C for the best experience.
